Solinst Levelogger 5 Junior

The Solinst 3001 Levelogger 5 Junior is an economical basis for extended monitoring projects such as pump and slug tests, stormwater runoff management and lake and wetland monitoring. Economical yet powerfully accurate, the Levelogger 5 Junior is a maintenance-free device accurate to 0.1% FS. As a budget-friendly alternative to the Levelogger Gold, the device has the same connectivity as its more expensive cousin, but in a package designed for professionals requiring less range, accuracy and sampling options for their project.

Temperature and Level Monitoring in One Convenient Package

The Levelogger 5 Junior does the work of depth gauge, temperature sensor and datalogger and can be easily integrated into a Solinst Telemetry System setup. The unit is housed in stainless steel and features a powerful battery good for up to five years of continuous operation. An optical reader and PC interface allows the Levelogger to connect with a PDA or laptop for real-time updates of temperature and water levels. Adding a Barologger Gold unit allows for automatic barometric compensation.

Levelogger 5 Junior vs. Levelogger 5

While the Levelogger 5 Junior remains a sophisticated data logging probe, many professional users require upgrading to the Levelogger 5 product. Here is a quick guide to the differences between the two:

• Calibrated range: The Levelogger 5 Junior features calibrated ranges of 15 and 30 feet (five and 10 meters). Levelogger 5 unit expands on this by offering additional ranges of 65, 100, 300 and 600 feet (20, 30, 100, 200 m) and includes a built-in atmospheric barologger for automatic pressure compensation.


• Accuracy: The Junior's level meter is accurate to within 0.1% FS, whereas the Levelogger 5's is to within 0.05. Temperature on the Junior Edge is accurate to ±0.1˚C; the Edge is accurate to ±0.05˚C.


• Memory: The Levelogger 5 improves on the Junior's 40,000 reading storage capacity with the ability to store upto 120,000 temperature/level readings using the data compression option.


• Corrosion resistance: The Levelogger 5 features a unique Titanium based PVD coating and Hastelloy Sensor.


• Warranty: Standard warranty on the Levelogger 5 Junior is 1 year; the Levelogger 5 model is warranted for 3 years.
