615 Drive-Point Piezometers
S615 Drive-Point Piezometers are ideal for installation as permanent well points and offer an economical way to monitor shallow groundwater and soil vapor. The 615 is easy to install in the ground with either a direct push or manual slide hammer. The unit's drive points connect to 3/4" NPT steel drive piping or to polyethylene or Teflon®-lined tubing. Sample quality is maintained by a 50 mesh cylindrical filter screen; the unit also allows for sample tubing to be compression fitted directly to the top of the drive point, creating an air-tight seal.
Three versions of the 615 are available: the standard model, suitable for a variety of applications; the 615 S, which features a single-use drive point shield to protect the device during a permanent installation and the 615 N. Intended for used in conjunction with a Solinst water level meter, the 615 N lacks a tubing barb, making it easier to take accurate measurements.
601 Standpipe Piezometers
The 601 Standpipe Piezometer provides a filtered inlet point for collecting samples from a drilled hole. A tough PVC tip and housing protects a 60 micron Vyon filter that keeps out silt and other contaminants, making the 601 ideal for metals sampling, as well as permeability measurements, de-watering drainage operations and construction control. Available tip lengths include 6", 1', 2' and 3'. The 601 uses 3/4" PVC riser pipe with slip-fit couplings to connect to the surface, helping maintain sample integrity.
660 Drive-Point Profiler
For collecting a series of samples from multiple points in a site, the 660 Drive-Point Profiler by Solinst is an economical choice offering unbeatable sample integrity. Suitable for depths up to 26 feet below the surface, the 660 can be used for high-resolution sampling, contaminant vs. depth profiling and detailed plume delineation. Originally developed at the University of Waterloo, the 660 uses a standard AW rod and can be installed by any rig using direct push, hammer or vibration technology. The 660 can be attached to a 4 mm LPDE or Teflon® sampling line for connection with a peristaltic pump.
