Groundwater Sampling Filters

In-line filters are used when field filtration of groundwater sampling is required prior to sending the sample to the laboratory. 

The Proactive GoPro QED QuickFilter, Waterra and Voss in-line filters are ideal for use in a number of groundwater sampling operations. We offer several disposable units designed to efficiently filter out particulates, allowing you to prevent clogs, collect more representative samples and reduce wear on the motor of your pump or bailer.

Proactive In-Line Filters

The GoPro 700cm² 0.45 micron filter combines quality with low cost, as little as $11.95 each. With a 3/8" inlet tip that works as a barbed adapter or threaded style, the 700 cm² capacity disposable filter allows the user to connect to 12 volt pumps, peristaltic pumps, or pressurized bailers. QuickFilter In-Line Filters

QuickFilter filters by QED Environmental Systems represent one of the best values on the market today. With 609 cm² of high performance, membrane-type polyethersulphone media in each unit, QuickFilter products provide increased filtration capabilities, even when used to sample or pump from highly turbid waters. Capable of filtering out particles as small as 0.45µm at pressures up to 60 psi, QuickFilter filters are suitable for use in groundwater sampling, metals analysis and purging applications.

Also available is a 30cm² low capacity filter for use in less turbid environments. To ensure quality, all QuickFilter in-line filters are heat-sealed rather than glued, improving their ability to perform under pressure. QuickFilter filters are randomly batch-checked for quality and consistency with EPA sampling guidelines.

Waterra In-Line Filters

All Waterra in-line filters come pre-washed in de-ionized water for immediate use in a variety of groundwater sampling applications, including inorganic sampling and dissolved metals analysis. Three models of Waterra in-line filter are available:

• FHT-45: The FHT-45 is Waterra's disposable in-line filter for use in high turbidity environments. With 600 cm² of 0.45µm media, the FHT-45 is capable of excellent particle retention and longer product lifespan. Features a 3/8" threaded nipple and a 1/2" hose barb for attachment to both sizes of groundwater sampling pumps and tubing.
• FMT-45: Use the FMT-45 when the higher capacity of the FHT filter is not required. The FMT-45 features the same high quality filtration media but with a reduced surface area of 600 cm². 

Voss In-Line Filters

Voss filters are designed for single sample use with peristaltic pumps and pressure bailers, particularly for conducting dissolved metals analyses. Featuring a 0.45µm hydrophilic PES membrane, Voss high-capacity filters can process up to a liter of water at a time. Voss filters are validated for 67 metals and two anions.
