The SS Mega-Typhoon submersible pump continues Proactive Environmental Products pursuit of designing the most reliable DC submersible pumps. The SS Mega-Typhoon is engineered for low flow sampling or ground water purging of 2" wells or larger monitoring wells. The professional design eliminates well hang ups and fits easily into a 2” monitoring well or larger. Environmental Equipment & Supply is an authorized Proactive Pump distributor and can usually ship same day.
The SS Mega Typhoon is capable of pumping up to 80 feet from ground level to water level. Simply, connect the pump connector to the Low Flow with Power Booster I “LCD” Controller, then to a 12 volt battery, energizing the pump. Sound Simple? We think so. Controller boosters are ordered separately. Order controller #51888 to use with the SS Mega-Typhoon.
Designed for the Field Technician in mind, the SS Mega Typhoon can handle the daily field riggers that are associated with ground water or remote water sampling. With its complete high polished stainless steel body and components, you can rest assure that the SS Mega Typhoon will not rust or corrode under normal working conditions. Low cost, low maintenance and ease of use make the SS Mega Typhoon the preferred choice for groundwater purging or low flow sampling.
The SS Mega Typhoon is only 1.82" OD x 6.5" L and constructed of three high polished stainless steel parts:
1. The replaceable motor module
2. The motor housing top connector
3. The outside pump housing
Low cost, Low maintenance, and ease of use make the SS Mega Typhoon the preferred choice for groundwater purging or low flow sampling.
Should the motor fail, the field technician can change out the SS-Mega-Typhoon motor in less than 60 seconds! And to start you off with; the SS-Mega-Typhoon comes complete with one additional motor module. In essence, you will be receiving two pumps for the price of one!
The main wear out parts consisting of the motor and seal all have been incorporated in a single replaceable motor module. Should the existing replaceable motor module fail in the field, a new replaceable motor module can quickly be installed within 60 seconds by a simple quarter turn twist! Once installed, your pump is essentially new and will have a life span identical to a new pump.
Low Flow With Power Booster I “LCD” Controller (sold separately)
This Controller is specifically engineered for the SS-Mega-Typhoon and is rated for a continuous 20 amps. Only weighing 2 pounds, The Low Flow with Power Booster I “LCD” Controller is constructed of a heavy duty NEMA 4 steel casing. For added safety, this controller is engineered with a reverse polarity protection circuitry that incorporates a 30 amp fuse to protect the Controller and user.
The controller is also protected with a current limitation circuitry and thermal overload protection. Easy to read, glow in the dark LCD display conveniently placed on top of the Low Flow with Power Booster I “LCD” Controller makes adjusting and reading the discharge rate a breeze!
And, with the Low Flow With Power Booster I “LCD” Controller, the Field Technician can control the water discharge all the way down to 10 M/L per minute from 80 feet or less, meeting and exceeding the EPA® groundwater guidelines for Low Flow Sampling!
Now, sample with peace of mind! Easy to read, glow in the dark LCD display conveniently placed on top of the Low Flow with Power Booster I “LCD” Controller makes adjusting and reading the discharge rate a breeze!
