Highly dependable and very economical, RKI Instruments S2 series of gas sensors/transmitters are designed to interface with RKI controllers or with PLC/DCS systems. They can be used indoors or outdoors for the detection of common gas hazards.
LEL, H2 Specific, Oxygen, H2S, CO2, and Carbon Monoxide explosion-proof transmitters have flame arrestors, and are approved for use in hazardous areas (Class l, Groups B, C, D). Their flame arrestors utilize a patented coating that makes them water repellent. For non-hazardous atmospheres, a non-explosion proof version is available for oxygen, H2S, CO, and CO2. LEL sensors are available using catalytic bead and infrared technologies.
Delivering quick response, long life and high specificity, the toxic sensors are electrochemical type plug-in sensors that are easily replaced in the field. Optional features include splashguards for very wet environments and stainless steel junction boxes for corrosive environments.
