Economical yet durable, the Solinst Model 101B Water Level Meter is used for measuring ground water levels in wells, standpipes, boreholes and tanks. The 101B is equipped with a leak proof, stainless steel P1 probe that is engineered to reduce false signals in cascading water. The probe is attached to a high quality polyethylene flat tape that is permanently heat embossed with markings every centimeter and meter. The tape comes in 30, 60, and 100-meter lengths.
Powered by a 9-volt battery that is housed within the reel hub, this water level meter has a sturdy reel and handle which makes taking measurements effortless. By lowering the probe into water, the electrical circuit is completed, sending a signal back to the reel where a buzzer is activated. Water level is measured by taking a reading directly from the tape at the top of the well casing or borehole.
