Portable, reliable and ready to use right out of the box, the Proactive SS Mini Monsoon is an economical choice for a variety of pumping and purging projects. The Proactive SS pump requires only connecting with a 12V power source to deliver steady pumping from depths up to 80 feet — no controller required. With a 1.7" OD, the Mini Monsoon is suitable for deployment in narrow wells and boreholes larger instruments can't reach.

Use in High Turbidity and Other Harsh Conditions

Don't let the Mini Monsoon's size fool you — it's tough enough to deliver results even in the harshest environments. A computer-engineered filter screen allows the pump to run in turbid waters without placing additional strain on the motor. In between deployments, the Proactive SS pump is easy to clean and decontaminate by hand, even when working in the field.

For Long- or Short Term Deployments

Use the Proactive SS pump for sample collection, continuous purging or ongoing remediation projects. For long-term use, the unit can be powered by a solar panel installation. Under normal working conditions, the pump motor can be run without a cool-down period and is expected to provide over 400 hours of operational life. Best of all, switching out the pump motor is simple — installation takes less than 30 seconds and requires no special tools, just a quarter turn twist. Because all major wear parts have been incorporated into the motor assembly, the basic components of the Mini Monsoon can effectively provide a lifetime of continuous use.

What's Included

When you purchase a Proactive SS pump from Environmental Equipment & Supply, you'll have everything you need to get started on your project immediately. An external controller or low-flow booster is not required. The pump itself is made of high-polish stainless steel, capable of withstanding long-term deployments in harsh conditions. Included with each unit is 90 feet of heavy duty 10 gauge wire that is easily deployed to minimize well hang-ups.

Deployment

Deploying the Proactive SS pump is easy — simply attach the appropriate length of 3/8" poly tubing and lower it into any well or borehole. At 3 feet DTW, the unit provides flow rates of 2.25 gallons/min; the deeper the unit is deployed, the slower it will operate, to a maximum of 80 feet.
